In our passion to increase the production capacity of quality grains in the country, farm Life acquired 2,089 Ha of land towards the cultivation of wheat for onward offtake by FMN. We are currently in the process of acquiring an extra 7,911 Ha
The large-scale production plan of Farm Life is premised on the opportunities which lies in the wheat value chain in the country. Nigeria is the second largest consumer of wheat in sub-saharan Africa and one of the most self-insufficient countries in wheat production with over 5.6 MMT translating to over $3Billion worth of imports per annum. The increase in consumption for wheat in the country is due to population growth, preference for non-traditional food such as pasta over staple food like maize and rice and increase in health and nutritional benefits of wheat related products. Hence Farm Life’s plan to leverage its offtake relationship with giant wheat millers in Nigeria to improve its commercial production.
